Writing technologies come and go, from Cuneiform to 0011. There is a true that writing is increasingly digital, and the communication is cross the borders with the help of translation. The contribution of translators was firstly promoted in 1953, and the day for translators was officially recognized in 1991.
Each year, the International Federation of Translators (FIT) chooses a theme for the International Translation Day (ITD), September 30th. The theme for this year is “United in translation“ after more than a year of Covid-19 keeping us apar. The theme focuses on world union with the help of translation.
